Description

The Huawei OLT (Optical Line Terminal) is an advanced device that combines the functionalities of an aggregation switch and edge router. By default, it comes equipped with the following modules:

  1. MPWD (Power Supply Card): This card provides power to the МА5608Т. It features a single 220VAC power input and a port for connecting a -48VDC battery.

  2. MCUD1 (Control Board): Responsible for overseeing the operation of МА5608Т, this board is equipped with 2 ports of 1GbE (SFP) and 2 ports of 1/10GbE (SFP+).

This is Huawei's smallest OLT, capable of serving up to 4096 users. Housed in a 2U, 19-inch rack, it supports a maximum of 32 GPON ports and 16 XG-GPON ports. The MAC table can handle 32000 entries, and the ARP table accommodates 8192 entries. The switching capacity is an impressive 720Gb/s.

Additional GPON boards can be added to the OLT:

  • GPBD (GPON Board 8 ports): Split ratio of 1:64 and 1:128.
  • GPFD (GPON Board 16 ports): Split ratio of 1:64 and 1:128.

Additional specifications include:

  • Standard PON: GPON
  • Uplink Ports on OLT: 4
  • PON Ports on OLT: 16
  • Enclosure Type: Rack (2U)
  • Backplane Switching Capacity: 720 Gbit/s

Switching and packet forwarding capacities for the L2 system are 190 Mb/s (active/standby mode) and 380 Mb/s (load-sharing mode) respectively for the MCUD/MCUD1 board.

Advanced features like GPON 10G, optical P2P GE, and FE ports provide versatility and room for expansion. The terminal supports both DC and AC power supplies, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to 65°C, ensuring flexibility in deployment
